For any neighbors association, the fact of being able to contract the virus is a danger, since many “strangers” live in a very limited place, being difficult to control the circle of each one to avoid contagion.
Although it seems that the worst is over, we have to make an effort to follow the recommendations of the experts to avoid continuing to raise the contagion curve and, of course, take the appropriate measures in the neighbors association. The coronavirus in neighboring association can pose a significant risk.
Elevator
The elevator is for shared use and, therefore, you must exercise caution when using it. If you can, avoid its use, although, we understand that there are exceptional situations whose use is practically mandatory. Therefore, we recommend:
- If you see that someone wants to take the elevator it is better to wait for it to finish.
- You must be protected with a mask until you enter your house.
- Try to use gloves and touch the buttons or knobs as little as possible with your fingers. Later, throw away the gloves, wash and disinfect your hands.
Common zones
There are areas for community use such as the portal or, on some occasions, the pool, garden and / or parks, among others. You must pay special attention and not lower your guard in them. Keep the social distance of 2 meters also with the neighbors.
The stairs are also within the common use areas, so the same rules will apply. Remember that they should not be used as play areas. They should be used only for the passage of people.
We recommend putting up posters with the safety and hygiene measures that affect both society and the neighborhood association.
Isolation
Anyone with symptoms must do a strict quarantine, without coming into direct contact with anyone. In the event that you have to go out due to force majeure, it is mandatory that you go out with a mask and, if possible, gloves, to avoid contaminating elements of both the neighborhood association and the place you go, and, consequently, to people.
Property Administrator and community meetings
In our pre-covid life, regular meetings in the community were common. But, currently, due to the situation we are experiencing, it is better to minimize appointments unless it is strictly necessary.
Community disinfection and use of disinfectants
We must not leave the disinfection of the community in the hands of just anyone, since we are risking our health. The best thing is to leave it in the hands of experts in cleaning companies that have material and human resources, such as sophisticated machinery and quality disinfectants. Of course, workers must be very careful when handling any object in the building and cleaning everything they touch.
We recommend the use of non-abrasive disinfectants such as bleach. It would not hurt to install hydroalcoholic gels at the entrance of the building. All with the aim of reducing the risk of contagion.
Now that you have seen the precautions to take into account for the coronavirus in neighboring association, the following question arises: have you verified that your neighborhood association has correct disinfection? Or, on the contrary, do you need information? If you have any questions or concerns, contact us.
